Graduation
My graduation date is now narrowed down to May, 7th, 8th, or 9th. It starts at 10am at Tropicana Field, in St. Petersburg Florida. There will also be a special pinning ceremony just for the nursing students. The date hasn’t been set for that yet.
That’s all I know for now….

My So Called Life
Well, once again it is the beginning of a new semester. I just now bought the syllabus for my classes and much to my dismay; I have a test in two weeks… Yes that’s right, two weeks. Well at least this time the syllabus goes in some sort of order and my books only cost me $89.00. One of the classes this semester there is a lecture on job burnout. I think that I can teach that class.
I spent this weekend doing what I do best… nothing. I Had Saturday and Sunday off. I went to dinner and a movie with my nephew Alex Saturday night. We ate a Chinese buffet. My stomach turned the rest of the night. We saw, “Flight of the Phoenix”, because “Meet the Fockers” was sold out. Anyway the movie was ok.
Yesterday I slept in till 1230 pm. I haven’t slept in that late for a while. It made me feel very out of it all day yesterday. I went for a walk later in the afternoon. I went to a park that has a nature trail. It was nice, except for the fact that the sheriffs office helicopter kept circling over head. It made me kind of nervous the whole time. I guess the stopped allowing traffic in to the park for a while. I wonder if they found who they were looking for.
I went to Wal-Mart last night. I am still surprised how much time I can spend in that store. Anyway I shopped and filled my cart with all of my goods, and then when I got to the front of the store to checkout, I did what I called “De-shopping”. That is when I go through my cart and decide what I need and what I don’t need. Then I pile the rejects on an empty lane. It makes me feel good to push my cart around, shop, price compare etc… But I don’t spend the money. I have filled my cart before and just as I got to the checkout, I just walked away. I get the high of shopping, without the cost.
I cleaned out my car for the first time in months. It feels nice to sit in something clean. I finally got some floor mats too. So now it should help to keep it a little clean.
Work is going pretty good, almost too good. We are getting a $100.00 bonus this month for “on-time performance” (that’s airline lingo, meaning our airline was #1 for the month of December for being on-time more then any other airline). The money is coming at just the right time. I am now going to a different department next shift bid (starts the beginning of next month). My seniority is slightly better there, so maybe I will get a better shift (oh and it’s easier work).
That’s all for now. I warned you sometimes my life is pretty boring.
