My Last Test…Last Clinical…Last Care Plan….Well Almost

Posted in Uncategorized at 11:23 pm by Kristen

Today I had my last test before the big final exam. I think I did ok (which means passing). I went into it having a 86% average (the lowest possible “B” and 80% is the lowest passing grade). Final exams aren’t usually all that bad because we have already had the material before and I will need to have something like only a 60% on the final to pass. I think I will manage.

My big care plan was graded this week. I passed and no revisions are required. Whew… No more worries.

My last day of clinical was on Tuesday. The staff was trying to recruit us to work at the hospital, quite honestly it is a s**t hole…I don’t think so. I will apply, because my interview skills are a little rusty (it’s been 5 years since my last job interview), so I need a crap job where I can “practice” interviewing.

The news reported today that the protestors outside Terri Schiavo’s hospice includes a banjo player, trumpet player and a professional juggler…

It really is a three-ringed circus

So much for resting in peace…

Yep… It’s hard to believe that it’s comming to the end. I took this picture today of my fellow classmates. It was the last day the we would all be together for clinicals. I start my “management”(I shadow a nurse) in less then two weeks. I do that for three weeks and then it’s time to graduate.

If you are wondering…Yes those ugly outfits are our uniforms. Some of us will be burn ours after we are done.

And the smart-ass waiter gave me all of these. He must have known I was kinda klutzy. Humm…It’s a good thing I have a good sense of humor.

This is from my own backyard. I grew up with this all over my backyard. I sometimes take it for granted.

We never really decided on a name for this guy. His former owner called him “Tybolt”, but I never liked that name. My Niece and Nephew like to call him “Counter Top” or CT for short, because that’s where he likes to hang out. My sister Teri in Libya suggested “Bisha” because that’s what they name all the cats in Libya. I just call him “Fluffy” because…Well that’s what he is…Fluffy!

Speaker Phones….

From the standpoint of someone who deals with the public via the phone, they are R-U-D-E. Especially since the person on the other side of the phone is yelling. Speaker phones are the equivalent of a typical American speaking to someone who has limited English capabilities; they generally speak real loud to the point in which they are yelling. If you like the hands free approach, buy a headset!
