And Finally My Mother Is Most Like…
I didn’t Believe It Either…
So, I took the quiz twice. The first time I answered 9 questions, so I answered 27 questions the second time. I still got the same answer.

Forward Thinking
Next Monday I go to school to do some sort of test (one that I do not have pass in order to graduate).
The end is near, and not a moment to soon.
The only people planning to go to my graduation (which is on a Monday), is my Mother and sister Andi-Sue and then we were planning to leave for the airport afterwards. I will still participate in the pinning ceremony on Saturday (nursing school tradition). I think I have 14 people going to that. I am leaning toward London…
What do you think?

My Niece and Nephew found this baby duck a week ago. They saved it from the bird of prey circling the sky above. We ended up handing the baby over to the care of a local bird sanctuary. We figured with two cats and a dog, the duck wouldn’t last long.

Everybody Needs A Momma Part II
Unfortunately the idea of “mothering” a mentally challenged adult does not have the same appeal that “mothering” a neonate has. These adults are usually institutionalized, lonely, not very socialized, and sometimes dirty. I had a patient that came into the hospital with a real bad case of scabies (this is real common). They aren’t cute like the babies in the NNICU to say the least. But they have a great need. I wish I had more time. Then MAYBE I could organize something.

Everybody Needs A Momma
I find it sad when I have a patient that is obviously mentally challenged and they do not have family (mom and dad are either dead or need to taken care of themselves), so they have a “State Appointed Guardian”. No one visits them, no one really takes the time to see that their care is progressing, they cannot tell you how they feel (i.e if they are in pain), etc…
I wish there was a system of volunteers, specifically women, who go out to the hospitals and visits these patients and “mother” them. Feed them, clean them, talk to them etc…

Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work… Work…
I have been working Monday thru Friday 2:30pm – 11:30pm for the last couple of weeks at the hospital following my nurse for school. Then on the weekend Saturday and Sunday I work at “Major US Airline” from 3pm-11:30pm. This means that I do not have a day off and never any nights.
I HATE WORKING NIGHTS.
I am so very tired. I wish that I had at the very least a day shift at the hospital. At least then I could get things done at night and then get a good nights sleep.
Thank you for letting me rant.

I Hate Saturdays…
I know that’s not normal, but for me it’s the beginning of the work week. I love Fridays, because that’s usually my day off from school and work. Today I have to go into work, and as you all know, I hate my job. I really need to take a trip somewhere to justify my employment with “Major US Airline” (and no, not Libya! Sorry Teri). Any ideas?
